Support
hoa is an outliner for macOS. Every note is a node with a title, a body written in org-mode, and children without limit.
Requirements
macOS 26 or later.
Getting started
Launch hoa and start typing. Return makes a new row, Tab indents it, Shift+Tab outdents it. Click a bullet to zoom into that node. Press Cmd+I on a row to open its fields: state, priority, schedule, deadline, tags and properties.
Import and export
File > Import Org File... brings an .org file in, one node per headline. File > Export Outline as Org... writes the whole outline out as a file Emacs can open.
iCloud
Settings > Keep this outline in iCloud syncs the outline to your other Macs through your own iCloud account.
Agents
Settings > Let agents work on this outline lets an MCP client on the same Mac read and change the open outline. The settings sheet shows the one line to paste into your client. Every change is one step in Undo.
